Funny.  You think of a name for a great backpackers hostel (for Makati) and then all of the sudden this happens www.bugisbackpackers.com

For the record, I thought of the name burgis backpackers before I even saw this

     So why Burgis Backpackers?  This site is not made to the appeal to the cheapest form of travel nor is it also about staying in hotels.  It’s somewhere in between.  We want things cheap but we don’t want it crappy.

     If our name offends you, we apologize.  We are not trying to be snooty.  It is just travel from a perspective that I believe, quite frankly, hasn’t been covered.  It’s not about posh travel or hip travel.  Neither is it about just the typical backpacker trail.

     Burgis backpackers will try to introduce you to Manila, and the rest of the world.  Hope you enjoy.

Coz it is probably more apt. I can’t call it Beacon Backpackers forever. Or can I? Either way, I like the way it sounds. (Thanks to Jackie for the idea. We miss you!)
